Spread the word about how to face environmental crisis withoutdenial, how tounplug from what harms us and Earth, how to identify authoritarianism and demagogy, which questions the press should be asking, how to track what politicians are up to, how to check their "facts," how to track petroleum industry campaign money, the true cost of Chevron, who the top polluters are, how environmental factors biologically impact our descendants, how to transition to a post-carbon world, how to demand a healthier food system, how to avoid factory food, how to garden, how toshop green, how to grow food and save seed, what's toxic and what isn't, how to work for a commercial-free childhood, how to understand sustainability and Systems Theory, how to look up local shared rides, which of your neighbors are sharing things with each other, how to heal nature-deficit disorder, how to green up simply, how to reimagine the economy, how entrepreneurs are reimagining it, where to obtain progressive grants, what slow money is, what co-ops are all about, how to use film for social change, what the Powers of Place Initiative is up to, what education for a sense of place could look like....
4. Share.
Deep learnings have a way of proddiing learners to become mentors--particularly now, when new types of community arise among the fragments of broken institutions and failed ideologies. We would love to hear about your own experiences with deep education; in the future we plan to post more of that kind of information here, including anecdotal accounts, learning resources, networking links, course and lesson plans, and other strands in the thickening weave of planetwide resources for transformational knowledge.
